Al menos 18 militares venezolanos murieron ayer al caer un helicóptero del Ejército en la frontera con Colombia, según informó el presidente venezolano, Hugo Chávez, en su programa televisivo Aló, presidente. Entre los muertos figura el general Domingo Faneite, comandante del Teatro de Operaciones Número 2, según Chávez. "Rindo tributo a estos soldados de la patria. Sobre todo al general Faneite, quien fue mi cadete", agregó.
